SAP BW Delta Download from IS-U


The delta download of master data from IS-U into BW can fail if the relevant change pointers are not set active in transaction TBDA2.

The relevant change pointers are shown in table ROOSGEN.

To activate all change pointers, you can run program RBDCPMIG_ALL_WITHOUT_MIG_FLAG in test mode and after that without test mode. To do so you can use transaction code SE38 and run the program with entry of RS*

This procedure has no disadvantages as of my point of view. But thereafter you can load master data from IS-U into BW in delata mode.

We actually face the problem, that comments on the left hand side in WebI cannot be placed. Error: Commentary service: Database initialization failed (Error: INF). Due to SAP, we have to build up a separate database for comments besides auditing database. I will let you know, if the separate database will solve the problem.  The new Database solved the problem. With guide from SAP it was really easy to build it up. We really like the new commenting in WebI.  SAP Business Objects Webintelligence is more sophisticated than Lumira in our point of view.
